LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab’s interim Chief Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, has revealed that according to the Irrigation Department report, the water from River Chenab has entered 40 villages in Jhang.
In a message on social media website, Moshin Naqvi stated that today he along with his team visited all the affected areas of Jhang district. He also emphasised upon the need to significantly improve relief and rehabilitation efforts for the affected flood victims at the administrative level.
He mentioned that instructions have been given to expedite the relief operations in Jhang, and the Deputy Commissioner has been directed to ensure the access of relief teams to all the affected villages..
According to latest report submitted by irrigation department, river Chenab water has entered more than 40 villages of Jhang District.

Mohsin Naqvi stated that the provision of medicines and essential items in the affected areas is the responsibility of the district administration. The Commissioner Faisalabad has been directed to stay in Jhang district until the situation returns to normal.
Interim Chief Minister of Punjab mentioned that he personally oversees the rescue operations for the flood-affected people in all districts. No negligence from the district administration will be tolerated throughout the province.
